The device has a solid build and is very easy to connect to a USB port. Requires no proprietary driver - Windows will happily take care of this hard drive as soon as you plug it in. Funny, the instructions say the driver disk is included, but there is no CD, and in any case, the CD isn't needed. Access to a Windows PC. There is an on/off switch on the back of the device that allows the user to leave it off when not needed. I plugged the device into a USB 3.0 port and it looks like my speed for the hard drive inserted into the device is very close to the speed of the hard drives in the computer case. So why 4 stars and not 5? 1. A wide slot is suitable for a thick slice, which is good. But there are also thinner discs. While these drives fit perfectly in all slots, they don't sit tight in the wide slot, and even the possibility of wobbling worries me that the slots might break at the bottom of the HDD slot. I hope they don't break. But hope is not trust. 2. When there is nothing in the HDD slot, the dust box in the top slot is open. Some cover would be nice.
