Review on 🧳 SHANY LUNA 6 Piece Synthetic Double Sided Travel Brush Set with Pouch by Kristin Bridges

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good brush set, soft, suitable sizes

I noticed that I hadn't had new brushes for a long time and needed replacement travel sizes. Browsing around Revain has led to a plethora of opportunities. I chose them because - they came in a travel roll - they are reversible and pack less - jewel colored - good range of sizes - reviews confirm they are soft. They're pretty soft. They are beautiful. They work well enough. But turning is a failure. It has a middle elastic that's sized to fit each, but there are two problems: The double-sided brushes can become damaged trying to slip through the elastic, so it requires two hands and extra care to handle them to reposition so that more time is spent avoiding damage than actually with a brush. The handles are shaped so that the elastic loop is too small to thread the brush through the bristles first, but too big for the handle to stay in place. Because the roller is open at the ends, the brushes fall out. In addition, the rolled-up fabric is unnecessarily thick and stiff. In short, the brushes are good for a starter kit, travel, or heck, even crafting. They are soft enough. I haven't used them enough to know if they last because I didn't have the motivation to wear makeup during the pandemic. But crashing the repository - no. It would be better to use a thinner triple weave that covers each end of the brushes and prevents them from falling out when rolled up, but allows them to unroll and stay open like a cloth when unrolled. (Either loose or fastened with a thin, loose elastic with large gaps so they don't bunch up when twisted - as having clips or latches instead of a sewn-in elastic increases the price significantly.)
