Although they're a bit pricey, they're as good as measuring cups can be. The pastry shop in Berlin where I worked used these! Many people say that the Germans use an American product. Pretty rare. There's a reason for that. What Makes Them Great: - Solid piece of stainless steel: Many measuring cups wear out at the junction of the handle and cup over the years. This won't happen as it's all one piece and the handle is flared at the end of the cup so it's a very wide and solid piece. - Extremely accurate. Not that it matters to most, but for serious bakers and others who need accurate measurements (especially with liquids you can see that) they're spot on. Its smooth surface leaves almost nothing behind after use even when used for oil and the like. This means both more precise and efficient use (no need to scrape your fingers) and easier cleaning! - Very easy to care for - Will probably outlive me. Very durable. The only con I can think of is the little ring that holds them together. They can only be worn on one side and the holes are smaller than the little ball at the end so they need to be fixed. If you don't want to use one while the others are hanging around (remember, they're heavy!) this won't work. To use or reset 1 cup, you must take and reset all others. Also, the gap is so big that sometimes they fall off the ring. Essentially the ring is basically useless except for long term storage when stacking works great. I just took them off and folded them and they fit together perfectly without the ring. So no big deal, just a small note.
