I bought this to remove chalk and dust during and after pastel and charcoal painting. collects pastels, scraps of charcoal and dust. This is the single most important reason I bought this vacuum cleaner and it does its job 100%. I love that you can easily disassemble and clean the whole thing including the filter which is a hepa filter. Only when it comes to cleaning pastel and charcoal dust should you use a Hepa filter.
