I bought this dongle mainly to watch YouTube videos from my laptop on my TV. If you're annoyed with trying to use your TV remote while typing a search, this is the answer. Setup went smoothly. I just plugged it into an HDMI port and a USB port (for power) on my TV and then connected it via Bluetooth from my laptop and my computer screen was on my TV. I only notice a slight hint of signal degradation compared to a wired connection when looking up close, but it's imperceptible from 8-10 feet away. You still get an HD picture! That was my main concern before she arrived and that fear was allayed. A small hint. When you're done, end the Bluetooth connection on your PC. If you don't do this, the signal can become intermittent and hang on the next use. I have no problem reconnecting every time. Overall I think it's worth the price.
