The paint on the metal sides was free of chips and scratches, all welds were smooth and well finished. The shelves came with no defects and chips. All devices were present and accounted for. The packaging was very good. Everything fitted well so no troubleshooting was required right through to assembly. One leveling leg was broken which wasn't a big deal as I bought it specifically because it had leveling legs and I have a slightly uneven floor where I wanted the shelf. The big problem I have is the side rails flex and make the shelf askew. This makes it almost impossible to align the block correctly. When I level it where the top edges of the rails line up, the shelves are noticeably crooked, and when I try to straighten the shelves, the rails shift and the unit tilts to the left. I tried it on a different wall that doesn't have an uneven floor and the unit bent worse. I tried loosening the screws to bend the device a bit, but that didn't help either. I'm still trying to work with it, but right now I can't find a way to make it work for me the way others do, and I don't know what else I can do to fix it. I am very experienced and able to assemble and troubleshoot furniture but am disappointed with this piece which should have been a relatively easy install.
