I have a 2016 Ram pickup with a factory 2.5" receiver. For the pen that slides back and forth when starting and stopping. I also didn't like the knock I heard when I heard it. I bought this clutch clamp because it was the only one I could find that looked like it would fit my truck nut didn't turn freely by hand .I could tell it was going to be a nuisance so I tapped the threads on the yoke and nut with a tap and punched on the bolt. This removed the roughness and made installing the yoke much easier. I know you have one brand new product didnt need to fix but i would do the tools and it was easy to fix. When I first installed the clamp on the hitch, I noticed that I had to pull it out about a half inch to allow the bolt to disengage the hitch portion of my truck's receiver. In that sense, I've been using it successfully for about a year. This keeps the knocking from starting and stopping and I've never seen play in my hitch again. So far, so good. I would buy it again and wish I had bought it when the truck was new.
