First impression: Sturdy, well made. It looks like they're actually holding up just fine. In my first tests, after only walking about 20 feet indoors, I got about 50Mbps, but that would be more than acceptable, especially for the price. It'll be interesting to see if anyone's speed improves, but like I said, I'm fine with that. Meanwhile, the devices are configured immediately after unpacking and sync very quickly - no changes were made to the settings. - update already - restarted - it looks like the device automatically chose another internal channel and I'm now getting speeds over 85Mbps. Update 2: Tried an external power supply - one of them runs on gel batteries, so I wanted to test the 24V input. That works fine too. Further testing is required to determine current draw. The desired application is intended for short-term use - a few hours at a time. IMPORTANT (AND GOOD!) NOTICE. Ignore the IP addresses used by devices unless your local network uses these address ranges (VERY unlikely). These devices bridge any subnet/LAN addresses you use without having to set them on the devices. This is one thing that isn't clear from the documentation at all, so it's good to know before you start. Conclusion: Very impressed so far. I'll try to come back here when I check them out remotely. Nothing has been rated yet as it's not Wi-Fi. I also didn't need technical support or access to the user interface.
