Review on Sennheiser GSP 670 wireless computer headset, black by Jhalak Mehra ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No complaints, I recommend to buy.

I was looking for a headset with excellent sound quality of headphones and a microphone. And here she is. But the listed shortcomings added their fly in the ointment to the joy of the acquisition. While you are sitting at the computer, the headphones work perfectly. But as soon as you move away from the computer, try to charge the headphones or turn them off, nuances come out. Are you ready to put up with them? Decide for yourself. I will not recommend anything. Because I myself have not yet understood whether I am ready to put up with them. )

Pros
  • * Headphone sound quality. * Sound quality from the microphone. * Build quality. * Good sound isolation of headphones in both directions. I listen to music quite loudly, but I can't hear anything outside. For some, this will be a major plus. But I would like to hear what is happening around, so as not to miss any important event in the apartment. This problem could be solved by the self-listening function (which does not work for me). But again, it only works with the microphone turned on. If you raise (turn off) the microphone, then self-listening will no longer work. *Voice of remaining battery power: a female voice in headphones speaks the remaining percentage of the battery in English. * Button forced voice remaining battery power. * The charge with a margin is enough for a full day of intensive work. Just like with modern smartphones. (Not sure if that's a plus.) * There is no white noise (well, or it is so quiet that it is not audible). * You can connect to a smartphone, but I have not used it yet. * Fit well on the head. I wear glasses, so the headphones sit on top of the glasses. The temples don't pinch. * Rigid microphone. For some, this will be a minus. But I like that I don't have to catch the distance from the microphone to my mouth every time. It is optimal and fixed. * The microphone automatically turns off by turning up. But it's bad that this is the only way to turn off the microphone. * I'm not a music lover, and I bought this headset primarily for gaming. But listening to music in these headphones is very good. You get more buzz from listening to music than from using these headphones in games.
Cons
  • * Self-listening does not work for me. The microphone itself and external sounds are heard very quietly, and the volume cannot be adjusted in any way. I did not find such a function in the software (version 1.3.0.478). * Working distance (declared 10m). From the next room, the sound starts to stutter, which is annoying. Freedom of movement is what a wireless headset is bought for. And with such a range of work, it becomes difficult to move freely around the apartment (only within the room). What to do? Take off your headphones when you get up from the table? Then what is the point of their wirelessness? * It happened several times that the sound stuttered even at close range. * Charging by cord is an anachronism. Inconvenient and tight connector. USB cable is short. I do not have enough to sit with the cord connected. * The off button connected to the volume wheel is a clear failure. The wheel is very tight. After each turning on the headphones, you have to catch a comfortable volume with this wheel. At the same time, there are no divisions or tactile clicks on the wheel, by which it was possible to set a convenient volume. * The microphone turns on and off with a mechanical click. When enabled, this click is broadcast to the air. * Software (version: 1.3.0.478). I had to tinker so that the ates got up without problems (hint: when installing or ating software, remove the dongle from the USB). Firmware is loaded without problems. * "Auto standby" can only be enabled in the software. And this feature doesn't seem to work for me. I did not find any signs that the headphones are turning off. * The custom button currently only has two functions: "Preset Switch" and "Spatial Sound". * Price. At this price, I want everything to be the best. And this is far from the case. From this you get a share of disappointment.
