Prior to using this shampoo, I was experiencing hair loss at a dramatic rate. Whether due to stress, getting older, weather - whatever the reason, hair was coming out in the shower and combing out my long hair resulted in clumps. Having heard a lot about the side effects of SLS, I decided to start trying organic. The first week of use, I was a little iffy. My hair would come out of the shower in a tangle of knots that took quite a bit to undo. My hair felt very course straight out of the shower. I was not using conditioner at all.However, after a week, although my hair still felt course while wet, the tangles became extremely easy to get rid of and my hair started becoming very soft. I have gotten a bunch of compliments on how healthy my long dark hair looks and better than anything else, unbelievably, the amount of hair I was losing every day has come to almost a complete stop. The strands I find on my comb amount to what would probably be considered normal, maybe even less. No more finding hair following out in the shower either. Although typical conditioners helped tame the frizz, all I use now is a bit of Moroccan Argan Oil and style as usual.This might seem expensive for shampoo but you really don't need to use a lot. I've read other reviews that said it didn't lather but I haven't experienced that problem. So far, it has lathered up quite well and rinsed out cleanly.I wouldn't have believed that any shampoo could make that much of a difference in a matter of one week but I was becoming very worried about the loss I was seeing and this shampoo has made me think that it is something that can be corrected. I've used this for almost a month now and I plan on continuing to do so. Well worth a try in my opinion.
