The bag is EXCELLENT! The top is closed with a zipper (a clear PLUS for me). This bag has a pocket on each end of the bag with a stretchable elastic top, approximately 6 1/2 inches deep. Then a front zippered pocket (this large pocket is approximately 13" wide x 11" deep). When you open the bag you will see LOTS of space (the bottom flattens out a bit so you can put MORE things in it :)! ) There are two open pockets inside and also another zippered pocket :) I'm SO HAPPY with this bag! Exceeded my expectations which is hard to find when shopping online!
