Perfect fit! I have an old DC07 and read several reviews where people said they had trouble installing it, but if you line everything up correctly it will fit. I recommend getting a Dyson belt replacement tool. I've worked with Dysons without before and it's worth it! Be sure to remove the three screws holding the clutch in place so you can remove the old cleaner and install the new one. Helpful Tip: Put a screw in the "hidden hole" (under the U-tube to be removed) in the belt guard before reinstalling. This makes it much easier to screw back. The color doesn't match exactly, but if you're concerned about the appearance of your vacuum, you might just need to buy a new one. I hope my wife doesn't do this. breaks the vacuum cleaner's head again, but if it does, I'll order this one again!
