Bought for laptop lovers. I thought one of my fans was dusty but no, it was the frayed cord that came with it. I was about to throw the fan away when I used a braided cable (not this one) to check if it was a fan or a cable. After finding out it was just a cable I ordered them and was able to get the old fan working again. I only got them recently, but it seems to me that the wires inside are much better protected and don't break as easily, if at all. It's worth the money if they keep the items usable longer.
