Review on Continental PremiumContact 6 215/55 R17 94V summer by Janis Endzelins ᠌

Not a bad product, but you can find better.

Absolutely fed up with riding in the rain! Prior to that, I had been driving Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires for eight years in nearly the same size (R21-22), and they performed significantly better on wet pavement. Anyone who claims that this Continental has good wet traction is either lying or has never used a grip rubber with genuine quality. Even where the studded Haka 9 does not drag laterally into the slush, there is frequently aquaplaning and lateral drift on wet pavement in the summer. On certain axles, the tread direction is really unusual. I won't talk about the noise because, in my opinion, it doesn't matter if the driving characteristics are excellent and there isn't anything to be unhappy about. If not, then writing about it serves no purpose.

Pros
  • dependable brakes turn smoothly
Cons
  • Even at medium speeds, there might be lateral slide and aquaplaning on wet roads.

Some pros: Unusual shape, looks great. I feel confident on the road. Cons: The noise level is higher than we would like. Tough enough.
