Very easy to put together when you know what you are doing. There is no top band, the screen tension bends the side poles as in the picture. We needed two people to set up the screen. I'm 5ft 3" and needed a stool to get to the top hook. The bottom screen hinges go down the side posts (without attaching to the outside hooks on the legs), then the top screen loops rest against the groove at the top of the side posts. Then, while one person gently folds one side in half, hook the other side on top and fold the other side in half. It took us a minute to figure it out, but once we did, we realized what to do!
