5 stars for the product itself. Didn't expect them to be pre-hammered/cut. I had the impression that it is solid plates. Although I can now see them in the photo of the box they are in, you can see exactly how they are divided into stripes and dots in the small black and white picture on the back of the box. I assumed these were just ideas for use as there is no mention of this in the product description. I bought them for mixed media logging. What, as they say. . These are fun patterns, very cute and bright, with a matte finish so you can write on almost anything. They're a bit porous but not overly so and they hold ink well when I've tried different media so far. durable, you will not be disappointed! I bought both the base and the pastel and I'm glad I did. I think I'll order more in the future if I find the prior estimate helpful in my other crafts.
