I use this trainer for my dog who barks when he wants to go outside and when he wants to go inside. I honked the horn as soon as he started barking outside. He stopped barking once I pushed him that far. I didn't use the vibration or shock setting. I will only use the shock setting if he is about to attack another dog or in some other emergency. Our dog is very jealous of my 1 year old son and was always growling at him so we bought this trainer. I like that the remote has a level up to 16 which allows me to control the intensity of the shock if there is an emergency and I need to use the shock. I really think this is an effective dog trainer because it works and also has levels and options on what is right for the dog depending on their behavior. I recommend this dog trainer.
