That's great! I wanted to make the magazine holders magnetic so I can store the cards for work - this way I can tag them with date magnets to group medical records by date. I wasn't sure how to make even a small portion of my (cheap cardboard) magazine racks magnetic. At first I thought maybe there is some kind of spray I could cover them with and then I thought maybe just glue a small piece of galvanized steel. Instead I found these that work SO well as they have a sticky applique on the back and can be applied instantly. I sprayed some white for my white holders. If you plan on painting them I would recommend applying 2 coats and giving plenty of time before using magnets (I made this mistake and ended up with my white metal mottled black).
