One day I had the brilliant idea to remove this decrepit carpet from my sunny room and replace it with tile. After two long days of work, I realized that my plan wasn't well thought out. The transition between the conservatory and my living room must have been a nightmare. The tile had to be just a hair's breadth above the carpet and I didn't have a smooth transition. I'm going to the raven! During my search I came across this gigantic wide threshold. He coped with the task perfectly. I used a saw to trim it down a bit and then sanded down the sharper edges. Worked great. It's very durable (as I saw when sawing it) and looks good. If you need to hide your sins while working on a space transition, this guy is for you.
