We've never had artificial wood before but this year we just didn't want to bother with something that's made out of real wood which is pretty good for a 7.5 tall tree. I didn't know what to expect, but I knew that "lint" had to happen before the tree looked like a tree. I am so happy and excited that I chose this one. It's huge and you can't tell it's not a real tree. I'm very impressed with how it turned out. Love how each layer pops open for easy whipping. I just tied the top layers together, worked on the bottom and then went up and repeated the process. I also made the bottom layer, removed it from the post insert, inserted the second layer, shook it, removed it from the post insert, and then reinstalled the sections. It made fluff a lot easier. I only held the top piece in my hands to fluff it up before placing it on the pole.
