My wrists are about 7.25 inches long so I'm not even within the stated maximum size range for this product. And even without Velcro, it's uncomfortably tight. The problem for me is in the thumb area, there is a strange and slightly painful pressure on the inside of the hand at the base of the thumb. This applies to both wrists and without a splint. So I think this product should come in two different sizes. Additional Info: I sprained both my wrists when I slipped on the ice and fell forward, so I had two of these, one for each wrist. The worst is over but I just wanted to have them on hand and even on the day I ordered them I wasn't sure how quickly I would recover. So I thought it might be helpful to wear them to work to stretch so I can protect my wrists during treatments and remember how to use them. I've spent some time looking at the different options for Revain and figured Ace knows bandages so I'm in good hands so to speak. I got the look with a removable splint as it seemed like a good idea not to flex my wrists the day I injured my wrists and ordered them. Pros: 1. Slim design that fits in any hand. The main black sleeve is mostly symmetrical. The elastic gray case wraps in one direction, so on the left side it starts from the bottom and folds up, and on the right side it starts from the top and folds down. The gray partial case has velcro that attaches nicely to the black to make things more solid. In addition, the inner black sleeve is made of about 3/4 thick material with velcro closure and 1/4 thin elastic (probably polylycra) material that the main adjustable fit enters. The splint design is pretty good too, with a channel on either side of the thumb so you can insert a metal slot on the palm side for either hand. The metal is very strong, but it can be shaped a little (with effort!) to make it individual.3. Very affordable.4. Relatively easy. Cons: 1. As mentioned above, I think it should come in two sizes. I think this probably won't work well for people with very small hands as the core size doesn't stretch. although with a gray film, maybe it will turn out well. And for people with big hands, I can't be alone in the thumb hole because it's too tight to be comfortable, which actually hurts me. 2. Mine came with some loose threads, a bit in the gray area from one of them. It doesn't matter much, but it just indicates that they will have a limited lifespan. Which is to be expected with an elastic band anyway. Observation: 1. The area around the thumb hole (what I call Velcro) has no stitched or knitted edge. It is clear that I have the option of trimming the hole to make it bigger. Although the distance from the thumb hole to the split case is short, I can't cut much on the side, but maybe I don't need to cut much and I can definitely trim. (If you take a closer look, it could be some of the extra volume of the hoop body that causes pain as it creates a small bump pressing on my hand.) I'll consider returning it rather than trying, to make a thumb hole. more. If I crop them I'll post about how well it worked (or didn't).
