Good GPS but needs a better speaker

Mine was bought from Best Buy during an unannounced cleaning. Knock on wood, mine has been fully functional so far and I haven't experienced the issues other reviewers have mentioned. This GPS navigator will take you to your destination effortlessly and is very convenient to use. The only downsides I can see are that it only has one language setting and the speaker volume is very, very low. If you go above 60% it starts to distort. The maximum volume you want to achieve on this device is 70%. Overall, I would recommend this device if you're looking for a budget GPS that offers text-to-speech and traffic. Additional Notes: I happened upon this after using this device for 2 months. turns off and the screen goes black during use. Even before that, on a long journey, maps began to flash. Very annoying! Further investigation by Garmin's support department indicates that you need to disable the Web Updater application and check if there is a new version of the software for your device. Apparently they need a software update immediately as there is a known bug so I would recommend anyone with this device to check for a software update as soon as you start using it. It should also be noted that they don't give you a USB cable for the device, but a standard mini-USB cable will work.[.]

Pros
  • Screen resolution 320 x 240 pixels
Cons
  • Good but not great
