Usually don't waste time on reviews unless you're really disappointed or happy. In the case of this product - HAPPY! First impressions count with Class 3 towbars. They're just strong pieces of steel that don't usually have many opportunities to fail. This hitch is classified as Heavy Duty Shiny and Black. There's nothing remarkable about that. HOWEVER, I spent HOURS trying to find a hitch size that would allow my van's tailgate to disengage the hitch. Very few fixed and adjustable hitches have provided enough detailed sizing information to be sure. When it came to dimensions, almost every hook missed the mark. I almost gave up looking for the perfect size-adjustable hitch, but I gave it a different try, and voila! Was - right size, right price and next day availability! Perfect for my needs in every way. For future reference, the exact size of this hitch from the center of the rear hitch pin hole to the center of the ball joint mounting hole is only 10 inches! It's only 1.75 inches from the tip of the tongue, so it clears my back door by a whopping 1.5 inches! It delivers exactly the 6 inch drop I was looking for in addition to many other possible drops and climbs if there are any suggestions. I definitely have to think long-term – literally!
