This product has fully met my expectations. It works well. On my own, I was able to capture all major measurements of my body to within 1/16th of an inch. Some reviewers complained or misunderstood the measurements on the "other side" of the tape. This is not really a problem and this feature can be ignored at will. The markers on the other side of the tape are a useful option for any measurements that are best captured without a pen as part of the measurement. The handle has a soft curve that adapts well to body parts, but doesn't fit at a 90 degree angle on a box, for example. For this reason, the marker inside the band begins with "0". On the main side of the band, on the other hand, the marking is offset by the handle length. Smaller internal dimensions are marked exactly 1 inch apart despite what some others say. For example, the 10 inch mark on the main side is exactly on top of the 7 inch mark on the other side. The 15 inch mark on the main side matches the 12 inch mark on the other side exactly, etc. This unit can be upgraded with a mechanism such as a snap button to fix the band while you remove it to get a to take a measurement. It would have worldwide appeal if it also had metric measurements. I'm deducting a star for those things.
