Review on Moonlight Slumber Comfort Support Pillow by Kristen Green

FINALLY THE ANSWER FOR SEVERE CHRONIC PAIN!

Doctor recommended I buy a body pillow to help cope with chronic pain so I can sleep. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, TMJ, Low Back Pain, Osteoarthritis, Hand and Hip Bursitis and Hypersomnia. I decided to purchase the Comfort U after learning that Fibro was developed by a nurse and based on the great reviews. However, this is mainly due to the warranty and being backed by Revain as I am skeptical of anything that makes such claims of pain relief as this pillow does. (My mattress topper and memory foam pillows don't even help that much!) Although I'm short at 4'11, I opted for a full-size pillow and I'm glad I did because it covers my whole body covered from head to toe. . It's HUGE and takes up 1/2 of my double bed but I don't know if that would be too much or my husband cos he can't sleep with me because I drive too much and only sleep on level 1 and 2 with 22 awakenings per hour. I also use a pillow when I'm on the couch watching TV etc. When I ordered this I was on such an excruciating pain cycle that even adding extra painkillers to my regular daily meds barely touched it. I was SO HAPPY when the pillow arrived 4 days later! It was on time. It was nicely wrapped in plastic in the box, and the white cotton/polyethylene pillowcase folded neatly into its little pouch. This helped because I ordered a blue lightweight fleece because I wanted something soft and warm that wouldn't get dirty easily. The pillow is very well made - no open seams or padding. After a few days the "legs" started to sag a bit, but fluffing the pillow helped and it should feel like a goose down pillow anyway. The top is firmer and fuller. To put on a pillowcase, I recommend laying it out on the couch and placing the pillowcase on top, unzipping it and gradually stuffing it as you close it. It was very easy to do. (There is about a foot of extra pillowcase material at the end of one side, but I think it may shrink in the wash. I don't think this affects the use of the pillow.) After I put the pillowcase back on, I laid it down and put it on the couch and lay on it, adjusting it a little to be just right, and IMMEDIATELY (honest, divine truth!) I felt my body begin to relax. All of my pressure points felt supported and just blended into the pillow. My body was still a little sore and tight, but I haven't felt this relaxed in years! I usually try not to stay in a certain position for too long because it hurts, but I've been in this position for hours and my body just keeps relaxing. Then I went to bed. I snuggled U up like a mini mattress, laid on it and fell asleep. I slept 3 hours straight and felt really rested. I've also fallen into REM sleep, which is also rare. The next few days were similar. I continued to sleep in 3-hour increments. I always thought it was longer periods because I felt so rested. On the 5th night I woke up 3 hours later but then fell asleep again for the rest of the night! I went for a 2 hour massage (no pillow) and was so relaxed my body kept twitching. as I fell into a deep sleep. I haven't had a massage that made me fall asleep for about 2 years. My therapist kept checking to see if I was okay. I told her how great my new pillow works. I've been able to function much better and I hope that with better sleep my mind isn't so foggy anymore. I didn't sleep last night, but only because I drank caffeine before bed (and probably because my body has been resting more than it can handle the last few days. I have of ALL the hundreds of products I have I've been trying for the last 17 years, it's worth $$$ and truly is the answer to prayers!
