Too soft; bad corners
I had to reshape these S hooks so they would NOT fall off the bar under the weight. The geometry was just wrong. Since they were brass, it was easy to use a wooden anvil and a small brass hammer to shape the hook so that the weight pulled the hook down towards the railing instead of away from the railing. The lower section also had to be narrowed so the loop of wire extends down rather than out and away from the railing.
