The tips are hard compared to Samsung's original S-Pen which has a soft tip like the one that came with my Galaxy Tab s7. It's great for on-screen writing and has the same responsiveness. The only problem might be the hard tip, but I got used to it relatively quickly. It doesn't have S-Pen functionality, although it has a button on the side, it doesn't do anything other than write/draw on the screen. Although it looks exactly like the official Samsung.
