You won't believe how well this machine cleans your carpet. BACKGROUND: I've been using a Doctor ProX pad that I bought a few weeks ago. I was shocked at how much water was left on the carpet. I put 6 gallons in the RD and didn't suck a gallon. My socks were wet and this mess took over 24 hours to dry. It left the carpet crusty because it didn't really suck anything out of the carpet, including the soap. Now on to Bissell: I bought one of these after being disgusted with the RD's performance. I was surprised. Attached is a photo of what RD left a few weeks ago. You will use some of the water. I made a traffic map of my entire living room using the same Bissel tank and it wasn't even full. I needed 4 refills from RD. If you follow the instructions for use, you can walk on the carpet in stockings immediately after use. Cleaning the device is very easy. There are videos on YouTube how to service your car every time. If you have PETS, you must do this every time. I've vacuumed 4 times with my Dyson Animal and this machine was still pulling hairballs out of the carpet. BOTH bottles slide out so you can clean and dry them every time. It is quiet. The cats didn't even leave the room. After applying RD, the cats avoided the carpet for more than a day because of the moisture. They went and lay down on the carpet right after I finished Bissell. The cable is detachable. So if you have a HUGE house, you can replace the cable with a 100 foot cable!
