I don't really have an opinion yet. I purchased this product to use on a octagon-shaped children's table used in our church nursery. Someone else installed the bumper cushion strip. Since the corners are not the usual 90 degree angle, it was a little tricky/loose at the corners and it may have to be reinforced. I have yet to try the installed product with a group of active children but my hope is that it will prevent head injuries when a child climbs under the table. The tape does not reach very far under. However, it has to be better than the bare table edges.
