I don't know how the customer said their headphones survived the wash and dry, but here's my story: I have these headphones used a few times a week and finally got the chance to run outside and within 10 minutes sweat was seeping into the speaker holes degrading the sound quality on both sides to a point where it was impossible to hear the music . This really frustrated me but I decided to give it another try as this often happens with "active" headphones and I went for a jog the other day the sound was clear but as sweat started to break out in the Seeping holes, the sound quickly disappeared. The good thing about them is that they stay in my ears, but what's the point if I don't even hear them when a little sweat gets in them. Not recommended for "active" users
