Review on Kuryakyn 5284 Momentum Road Warrior by Chris Hossain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great build quality in affordable packaging

I had an old Kuryakyn Full Dresser tail bag that came with my 2001 Honda Magna and it started falling apart with a zipper. Since it has become so brittle from sun damage I decided to explore new tail bags to see what would work for my purposes. At first I looked at Saddlemen bags, but they were too expensive for me. I signed up for the new Kuryakyn bags and watched the video review on RevZilla and I was very intrigued. I thought the Road Warrior pouch was big enough for my regular commute and weekend trips and I could always attach additional pouches to the external MOLLE points. was a definite improvement over my previous bag. The 1200 denier nylon is just as strong, if not stronger, than my luggage. The bottle pockets come in handy for storing drinks so I don't have to unnecessarily open pocket compartments. The main compartment has more than enough space for my helmet if I want to store it in there or to take all my tools with me when I commute to work. Since I typically commute up to 200 miles a day to work, I like to use my bike to conserve fuel. The fastening system was light and the buckles stay secure even when I'm on the freeway. There's also a handy shoulder strap to carry the bag when you take it off, making the transition from driving to work easier. Overall I would highly recommend this bag to anyone who needs a medium sized tail bag for commuting or as a starter to a travel kit. It even comes with a rain cover to keep the bag safe in inclement weather. Kuryakyn have done an amazing job updating their line and out of Kuryakyn products, only Xkursion line is better than Momentum line.
