Brass is easy to mark. The screws are slotted, making it easy for the screwdriver to slip off and leave marks on the surface. Not recommended for high traffic areas. It is very difficult to align the four screws through the top brass plate, rubber pad, two foam pads, metal pad, base bracket and threaded bolt of the electric box, so slipping of the screwdriver is almost inevitable. Use masking tape during installation. It's also very awkward to install as the outlets are recessed under the floor surface. It takes a wood router or chisel to create a shelf nearly 1/2 inch deep in the hardwood. For the price I was expecting the doors to have spring loaded hinges. It's not like this. When not in use, they rely on gravity to stay in place.
