I couldn't love these more! I'm an LED bulb addict now. and these are the BOMB! I put these into my standing directional lamp, replacing the energy guzzlers that were there before. First of all -- they are MUCH cooler looking. I'm waiting for Thomas Edison to show up, saying "Hey - I could have designed those myself!". Very antique/modern and they provide beautiful, bright, warm light to the whole room. At 8 watts - they claim to produce the same wattage as 75 watt bulbs. but I disagree. they are probably even brighter. The led bulbs in general provide much better & "cleaner" light than the regular energy guzzling bulbs. and besides the light being so much more beautiful, my electric bill is about 80% less! My bills have always been ridiculous (I'm in the Northern NJ/NYC area so our electric bills are super high!) My electric bill last month - for the first time since, Oh. I dunno. 1980? was $60! I almost fell on the floor when I got it. I will add. that UNLIKE those "energy saver bulbs" that provide that super unflattering, office type lighting, these are bright immediately (just like regular bulbs - only better!) and they are beautifully decorative. perfect if you have a pendant lamp or any kind of lamp where the bulb shows. it looks more like art than a bulb!
