So I am not using it for its intended purpose. Instead I use it to wrap a heating pad around my leg when I have muscle spasms and it keeps the heating pad in place. It's a bit long for that, but I just tie it in a knot at the top and that shortens it nicely. The problem is that this can lead to twisting and if I don't carefully unwrap it before closing the clasp it will be very, very, very difficult to undo the clasp when I want to. Yes, I just have to be more careful when closing it. However, it would be ideal if they did it in such a way that the closure still works. Otherwise it seems to be holding up well after a few months of repeated use.
