I have natural afro curls, I want to say 3c if you refer to this curl pattern. I use this cap when my hair has been straightened and I want to protect it in the shower. I also use it to keep my hair out of my face when I wash my face and my hair is straightened. It works well! I currently have medium length hair (shoulder length). I don't use this cap if my hair is curly at the moment as I don't mind if my hair gets wet in this state. Tighten the cap to your liking. I also like the color and pattern of the cap I chose (white and black stripes), I think it just looks prettier and not as silly or crazy as a lot of the other shower caps I see out there.
