My son (he will be 5 in a month and a half) likes them. They are easy for him to use. He attends OT regularly and has poor fine motor skills. This gives him the ability to use the scissors while maintaining control without worrying about the scissors opening while cutting. They have a spring so they open automatically. Very good. They appear to be well made. No extra parts and no switching between manual and automatic modes. My son loves using it and puts it to good use. It's worth the money I paid just for it. Had I known they would work just as well I would have ordered more than one pair (one for home and one for school). Will definitely buy again!
