This bag was a great purchase for my 11 year old son who is becoming more and more interested in art. Multiple items can fit in the main compartment (which is firmly molded at the bottom to maintain the shape of the bag), including a regular-size sketchbook, a large sketchbook, an acrylic paint pouch, and three sets of crayons and markers, plenty of space. regret. The pockets don't cover all four sides of this bag - only three, and they're flat but comfortable enough for drawing with pencils, scissors, glue, and the like. The bag appears to be mass-produced from synthetic materials, so we'll see how it holds up.
