Doesn't stay on tight

I do cut my finger or finger nails from time to time and upon seeing this I was hoping it would be a big help. Instead of ordering just one for less than $1, I ordered a dozen to give to my siblings and friends.I have used it a few times and below are the issues I have had:1. The loop part around the finger does not really snap if you have smaller finger as the strap itself will "resist" being snapped when I try to make a smaller circle for my finger.2. To accommodate, I make a loop bigger than my finger so the snap will stay. However, as I'm cutting meat that I have already marinated, the oil un-snap the finger loop.3. Given the protecting piece is in front of the finger, I can't really hold the meat or veggie down to cut it to the size I want because the protector cannot exert pressure on the item to be cut. There is the feeling of the protector being in the way. I ended up taking this thing off to finish with the cutting. So if you have bigger fingers than I do and you only cut dry veggies and no "slippery" stuff, perhaps this can be a good help in protecting your fingers.

Pros
  • Structure is simple, beautiful and practical, easy to use security
Cons
  • The knife may not easily fit into standard knife blocks or holders due to its non-traditional shape
