I bought it to use with an Audio-Technica ATH-M40FS. This is a heavy duty extension cable that looks good but adds a lot of weight to the jack input. If you have a device where the bushing isn't installed well, appears to be loose, or could break if too much pressure is applied to it, I would go to a lighter weight extension. Otherwise it works fine but for the mic I used it pushed too hard on the jack, I found a lighter one in my desk drawer and used this one instead. It was too hard. You also have to take into account that this adds a bit of length to the fork, and it's not just the weight of that extension, it's the extension PLUS the weight of what you're using it for, in my case it's a studio headset. It works, nothing wrong with that, but if weight is an issue for what you plan to connect it to, I'd go for something lighter.
