Review on BumGenius Freetime One Size Closure Moonbeam by Nina Lucero

Our favorite cloth diapers!

We've tried bumGenius cloth diapers (especially Newborn, Freetime AIO and Pocket 4.0) and gDiapers and they're by far our favourites. Well honestly we like the bumGenius AIO baby nappies too but our son has outgrown them so of the larger cloth nappies these are our favourites. We like them better than the 4.0 bags because everything is ready, you just have to fold the flaps and put them on. With bags it's harder to stuff the liners and get them to stay straight/lay flat and then you have to reach into a dirty diaper and pull the liners out before washing (or at least we do, otherwise I have the feeling that the pads are not really clean if they are left in the bag during washing). We don't have bumGenius Elementals but a friend has them and she says they take forever to dry and she really likes Freetimes because they dry so much faster. I hope this helps other expecting or new parents decide which cloth diaper to try. :) Yes, and we didn't like gDiapers for the same reason we didn't like pocket diapers - too much prep time compared to bumGenius diapers, and it's difficult to get the liners to lay properly flat in the pocket (we only use disposable pads tried out). I just feel like the less time it takes to prep cloth diapers the better because there's so much you as a new parent will want to cram into your free time - just one less hassle as you're already trying to clean your diapers keep ! I also personally find that my son is happier in cloth nappies for longer when wet than in disposable nappies. However, this can vary depending on the brand of disposable diapers.
