I have had quality leather belts for many years that never wear out. I really wanted the TAN color to match my shoes. Most belts are brown, but this one is brown. I really liked this belt. I think it looks sharp and the buckle mechanism works great. I wear this belt 2-3 times a week. I put it on in the morning, take it off at night and hang it up. I'm 5'11 and 170 pounds no guts. For some reason the back of the belt is falling apart. I wouldn't expect that from a 100% leather belt that is only touched a few times a week. Luckily the front end looks just as good as the first day I bought it. I assume the backing is either vinyl or very thin leather. Perhaps because I wrapped it around my waist and then hung it straight, the thin "skin" on the back tore. Cracks can be seen in the photo. It didn't really take off until I wore it 50-70 times and the front is still good. Hope that helps.
