Review on πŸ—„οΈ Bush Furniture Cabot 2 Drawer Lateral File Cabinet: Stylish Espresso Oak Storage Solution by Tiffany Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Feels sturdy and is beautiful but has a little wobble in the drawers and other minor issues

I am pleased with the overall build, look and feel. The price was right, but I would have paid $20-$50 more to fix some of the minor issues below. Definitely recommended. This file looks sturdy due to the weight of the case. The wood of the file is as dense as other wood furniture in my office. All parts were in the box, the instructions are clear. It took me almost two hours to bring the box to the office, unpack the box, assemble it and put it away. I did everything myself, so the assistant greatly reduced the time. The drawers are relatively easy to open and pull out. I don't have any major problems with file storage. A few minor issues: The drawers can wobble/rotate from side to side - the drawer pull mechanisms are flexible, giving the file a cheap feel. The bottoms of the drawers are thinner than the sides and are made from flexible chipboard, so the bottom edges sag a bit. There is a center bar at the bottom which prevents sagging in the middle, but I would have preferred the bottom to be as firm as the sides. I don't like the cheap feel and closeup of the chrome plastic knobs. Although from a few meters away the handles look fine.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • no insurance
