My air conditioning on my 2009 Honda CR-V started blowing hot air one afternoon. It worked fine this morning. I tried charging with freon, but the compressor did not turn on. I immediately did a little research and came to two conclusions; It's either the relay or the compressor has failed. Since the relay was a cheaper alternative, I replaced it and the compressor worked again. Two cans of R-134a and the air conditioner is cold again. It was a simple fix that took less than 5 minutes to replace the relay and 10 minutes to fill my car with R-134a refrigerant. It's been four weeks since the renovation and so far so good (fingers crossed) during the hot Georgia summer heat, so good.
