This seemed like the best idea for a paper towel holder. It has a heavy base, so if you're trying to tear a paper towel with a wet hand, it'll need to be weighted down. The piece of plastic that automatically adjusts when you use the paper towel roll to hold it securely in place so you can rip it apart with one hand seemed awesome. However, all these ideas were much better in theory than in practice. The piece of plastic that holds it in place makes it almost too good that the paper towel roll doesn't want to move when you try to grab more - instead of accidentally pulling 6 sheets out of the paper towel roll, you can barely get one. . I put this new expensive one in the garage and took the cheap one out of the garage and now I'm using it. It's a shame I didn't read the reviews earlier.
