This items looks just as it does in the photos, and fits into small spaces which is why I bought it. However, some of the parts did not come with the correct cuts or holes - thankfully our neighbor has woodworking tools and could fix it so that it could be assembled. Otherwise I would have had to send it back. I would not recommend an adult to sit on it, but is fine for kids. We had trouble at first getting the drawers to closed all the way and had to really work at it, but that issue seems to have worked itself out over the last 6 months. Also, the slats on the front of the drawers are easily broken if pushed closed by someone's foot (fixed with some wood glue).
