Overall, these are decent lights. The price is nice for an 8 pack, and they light up well enough to see my walkway. The white is a bit brighter than the colors, though. The colors show up okay, but they more or less just kind of provide a fun ambiance. They don't do much as far as lighting up enough of a trail to see by. The pattern on the light does show up a little on the walkway, which is fun.I am keeping mine on white mode as a liner to see up and down the path. It can be hard to see out at night if I don't walk just the right way to set off the solar motion detectors, so it's nice to have a little light on the path to stay on track on the farm.The value is pretty good on these. The gloves on them are plastic, which works fine. They're supposed to be IP55, which means they're not exactly the best waterproofed. The IP55 rating means dust protected but not dust proof, as well as water resistant, but not water proof. It can withstand water jets to a degree, but not long term. I have mine outside in 6A and so far, no breakdown but time will tell. I usually get a good mix of rain, sleet, and snow so I'll keep watch on them. As long as they're upright and low to the ground, most rain and precipitation should stay out of the compartment. It's sealed up pretty well.Overall, decent buy and great price. Super easy to assemble, too. Could probably even take a similar length of PVC pipe to extend the stake on these.
