I often walked around the house with them and looked closely at what they would cut out. They won't cut thin paper like tissue paper or thicker materials like foam or corrugated cardboard. They cut thick paper, thin cardboard and other thicker paper well. Copier paper and business cards worked great too. The handles are perfect for adult hands. I don't do scrapbooking, but now I see how addictive it can be. I bought this set to make jewelry postcards. The cards look very nice when you touch the edges with these scissors.
