For the price I paid this is great quality. The material is very light, does not pinch or rub when running. They sit at the waist as expected. They are longer than expected; However, I knew I would buy. I have previously purchased the 7 inch version of these shorts and found them to be much longer than my other 7 inch running shorts. I liked the material and construction so I went back and ordered the 5" model. So if you like regular 5" shorts, they will probably be too long for you. If you like regular 7" shorts, these are pretty good, maybe a bit longer for my liking, but for the price paid and the feel of the material I'm happy with them.
