External SSD drives aren't cheap, so I figured why not buy an enclosure in which You can place the internal NVME drive for external access from my PC. I ordered this for this purpose as it also had the ability to clone. It's made of solid aluminum which fits my solid aluminum Dell XPS laptop perfectly. It acts as an ideal heatsink to draw heat away from the drives. It is equipped with USB Type-C to USB and USB Type-C to USB Type-C cables, so it can be connected to PC with both. I've experimented with both to see the data copy speed. With the Thunderbolt connection, it was fast, with sequential read speeds in excess of 1000Mbps and write speeds in excess of 950Mbps. I added two drives and both were accessible from my PC at the same time through the same port. Also, I tried the clone feature, which was fast. I was able to copy an entire 500GB drive to another 500GB drive in about 20 minutes. It behaved as described in the description. However, some users may have issues with the extra power consumption, even while reading, but given the two drives it's reading I hardly find it objectionable.
