Dusty eyeshadow on eyes

I love how easy this product is to apply with a brush, although I had to buy new ones as my original sponge just fell apart. I bought eyeshadow again after losing the first one. My problem is that when you look in a mirror with magnification it appears dirty and dusty and darkens with age under the creases above the eyebrows. Surprised nobody else left this comment. Maybe powder eyeshadow will do just that.
